finding joy in not knowing

Keep your eyes on me.
Keep your eyes on me.

That’s what i have to remember. That’s where I have to position my focus. Because I have no clue what i’m doing, where I’m going, 95 percent of the time.

You’re not stuck.
You’re not lost.

let’s talk about hope.

“For he empowers us to go after what has already been established ahead of time,” (Hebrews 6:18)

This certain empowerment that we get from Jesus Christ is like an unbreakable connection between us and God. He went before us, so that we don’t have to worry about where we’re going but we can simply hope it’s going to be good.

And he’s always good.

It reminds me of a picture that I received in prayer once. I had asked God, “where do I belong?”

He said:

At my feet.
On your knees.
Following my steps.
Blindly.

I imagined this picture of Jesus walking before me (imagine a really tall person), and me simply following behind him, not seeing where we are going, but knowing it’s good. Knowing his strength. Finding peace as I watched his back, looking down to see him taking purposeful steps.

He is taking me somewhere–and it’s not up to me to know. Wherever we’re going, he’s been before. The process is meant to be trusted.

This season that you may be in, if it’s anything like mine, might feel really unsteady. How do we take joy in not knowing what is supposed to be happening right now? Something may look one way and turn out completely in the other direction. for me, not knowing leads me into complacency and fear.

**Reminder: there is someone who has gone before you and who is waiting there at the end.

Those times when you wake up and don’t know what you’re doing, what you should be doing, where you should be going, or how to get there?

Run to him. Rest. You aren’t supposed to know everything. Find peace in that.

Ah, this was basically a note to myself that I decided to share with you all. Thanks for reading! Always open to talk through comments or Instagram messenger. Much love!
